Shanti introduced me to the Yogic practice in 2003. I was a willing participate curious to
to know through experience. My mind, body and spirit was stretched in more ways than I could
imagine. I am grateful for her divine gift to share with others the Yogic lifestyle. I hope to
remember to breathe, to smile and live my life with child like wonder. She is one of the best
yoga teachers in Tennessee.

Shanti, one of my all-time favorite yoga teachers. Shanti is very good about seeing that lots of muscles get stretched, tension gets released,
and exercises/asana are adjusted for new-comers and old-timers alike. I'm a regular student,
... come on down. Would love to see you there.

One of Shanti's often used phrases is "give your-self permission." That's
important, because participants in her yoga classes have given themselves
permission to leave their world, not only literally but mentally as
well, for an alterative experience; to engage in basically a series of
contemplative, stretching exercises followed with a much anticipated period of quiet stillness. What a treat!!

About 3 years ago I injured my back as a result of improperly lifting a heavy object. After medical
testing it was determined that I had ruptured the disks associated with L2 and l4
vertebra. ... After about 4 months of physical therapy, progress to alleviate
the pain was not happening.
At the time I began participating in Shanti's Yoga program. The Yoga sessions
accomplished 3 things in a few months. First, I learned to relax and concentrate on how my body reacts to pain.
Second, when I was able to relax, my mobility increased with the stretching movements to the point that my muscles
could benefit from exercises. Third, the toning of muscles caused by the Yoga exercises began the healing
processes. After a few months of the Yoga program, most of my pain was gone and my mobility was better than before
the injury.
After a year's time all the symptoms of the injury had disappeared.

Yoga is something you do for yourself and the results are rewarding. It makes you feel great and it improves your health, self-worth and self-esteem.
I am a better person for it teaches me how to relax, handle stress with proper breathing and relaxation.
Thank you Shanti.

I have arthritis and stiffness in my knees and legs. I had been going to a chiropractor when I had a lot of pain. He recommended
that I do yoga. I have been going to Shanti for three months, and the
stretches she teaches loosen my joints and I have less pain and take less medication.
